Ophthalmology/Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Job Description Our well-established ophthalmology practice is looking for a front desk receptionist. CCTH is a multi-office and multi-doctor practice who offers comprehensive eye care for Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Offices located in: Knoxville, Powell, Fountain City, Farragut, Hardin Valley, Oak Ridge, Maryville, and Sevierville.

Responsibilities ( list does not include all duties assigned ):

• Greet patients and guests upon arrival to ensure a welcoming experience
• Check patients in and out
• Collect payments
• Verify insurance eligibility
• Obtain insurance authorizations, as necessary
• Process patient paperwork
• Schedule appointments for new and established patients
• Ensure reception area is well maintained
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
• Travel to satellite offices in the Greater Knoxville area as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Medical receptionist for 2 years (Preferred)
• EMR Knowledge (Preferred)
