BHSI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join the Central Region Casualty Team based out of our Houston office location. Position will be responsible for expanding and developing new business opportunities through production and marketing calls with brokers and clients, marketing to distribution channels, prequalifying new business and utilizing underwriting acumen to select sound casualty risks & form opinion of risks.

Lead customer meetings for new and renewal business
Establish, develop, and expand broker and customer relationships in the Texas Region
Work closely with loss control, actuary, claims, and legal teams to evaluate risk and provide solutions to customers
Existing broker relationships within the retail and/or wholesale brokerage community

• Ability to work within a fast paced, customer focused, team environment
• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per quarter

The base salary range for this position in Houston is $100,000 to $150,000, along with annual bonus eligibility.
