This role plays an important part in supporting our customers, strengthening our business, and contributing to the long-term growth of Douglas Dynamics.Performs a variety of duties in support of the company's fabrication, welding, and assembly cells. Duties include but not limited to stocking FIFO and kitted carts with parts in required quantities based on level loaded production schedule, restock fabricated and purchased parts in finished part supermarket, maintain finished part supermarkets, coordinate replenishment, and communicate potential shortages with Buyer/Planner, perform daily 5S maintenance, other duties as assigned.You'll collaborate with teammates across the organization, contribute ideas, and help deliver results that matter for our customers and our business.Ensuring parts and materials are available to support fabrication, welding, and assembly cells.Stock FIFO and kitted carts with required parts and quantities based on the production schedule.Restock fabricated and purchased parts in the finished parts supermarket.Maintain organization and accuracy of finished parts supermarkets.Coordinate replenishment activities to support production needs.Operate a hi-lo (forklift) as needed to move, stock, or replenish materials.Participate in company training programs.Works effectively in a team environmentReports packaging problems, piece part abnormalities/nonconformance, and unusual workplace events to BU lead person or supervisorUses a variety of unpowered and powered material handling equipment.Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks with little supervisionAbility to obtain and maintain a current Forklift and Arial lift platform license.Basic computer skills required.Starting pay is $19.00 per hourA fulfilling career with the ability to contribute to an Industry leaderA comprehensive suite of benefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceA generous 401k matchProfit sharing for all full-time employeesWe offer competitive salaries, benefits, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
