Maintenance Electrician I

Electrical Technician (Industrial) - Plattsburgh, NY
Pay: $35.70/hour (Union - non-negotiable, increase to $36.77 in August)
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM | 2-2-3 rotating schedule
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to join a growing packaging manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems to support continuous production in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems as needed
Bend, run, and install conduit in an industrial setting
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including LOTO procedures
Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance or electrical experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), VFDs, and motors
• Ability to use a multimeter and work with high-voltage equipment safely
• Experience bending and installing conduit
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
• Must have own tools
