Minimum Master's Degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Valid Ohio LSW or LPC required.
Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.

Position Description: The role of the Patient Rights Advocate ensures that Agency clients are treated with respect and dignity as well as ensures that the rights of clients are not abridged. The Patients Rights Advocate is responsible for addressing all client-related incidents that could be due to a clients' rights violation as well as investigating all client grievances and allegations.
Notify any County agencies and other regulatory agencies of allegations. As appropriate, partner with County and regulatory agencies on investigations.
Investigate all incidents referred by the Director of Risk Management or Director of Quality Improvement by conducting interviews with clients and staff as necessary.
Report all findings to appropriate program and administrative staff.
Train staff in regulations, policies and procedures regarding clients' rights.
Attend Performance Improvement and MUI/Incident Committee meetings, appropriate sub-committees, Patient Care Monitoring (PCM) meetings, Root Cause Analysis meetings and MH/AOD Board sponsored Client Right's Advocate meetings.
Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision and on-going training.
All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
