Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rapid Response Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills in critical care, with a focus on managing patients in crisis situations.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of five years in critical care nursing and at least two years of RN experience.
License/Certification Required:
California RN License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS stroke certification from American Stroke Association
Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training
CCRN from American Association of Critical-Care Nurses

Preferred:
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) provider card
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BSN, MSN, or enrolled in an RN-BSN program

Key Responsibilities:
Apply critical care clinical knowledge in managing patients experiencing emergencies.
Lead and coordinate patient care during critical situations, including responding to Code Blue, RRT, Sepsis Alert, Trauma Alert, and Stroke Alert pages.
Utilize effective communication skills within multidisciplinary teams and with patients and families.
Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress.
Maintain patient confidentiality and act as an advocate for patients' rights and autonomy.
Gather and analyze clinical data to ensure quality care and promote improvement initiatives.
Participate in performance improvement projects and contribute to policy formulation to enhance patient outcomes.
Engage in team debriefings and facilitate educational opportunities for nursing staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Expertise in managing high-risk patients and emergency situations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently within a team.
Commitment to customer service and a positive, patient-centered attitude.
Capability to perform independently while supporting and guiding nursing teams.

Additional Information:
This position may also involve leading the Rapid Response Team and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Regular participation in staff meetings and ongoing education relevant to emergency response is expected.
