Registered Nurse (RN) - Alcohol & Drug Focused Care

Job Overview
The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in executing InterCommunity’s mission to promote whole‑person health. Under the supervision of the Residential Nurse Manager, the RN provides alcohol and drug focused nursing assessment at admission, administers medication, monitors client health, and coordinates ongoing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

Timely administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.

Complete focused alcohol and drug assessments at admission to the program.

Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.

Order, transcribe and reconcile medications per MD order as needed.

Facilitate effective crisis intervention.

Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans, including referrals to higher level of care.

Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve best patient outcomes.

Direct or supervise less‑skilled nursing or healthcare personnel.

Refer patients to specialized health resources or community agencies providing assistance.

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Current Connecticut RN License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.

EPIC experience preferred, but not required.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. Attendance at required staff meetings and assigned trainings is a condition of employment and will be treated as paid work time.

Salary
Wage range: $32.00 - $50.00 per hour.
