Hotel Restaurant Server/Bartender (Am - Afternoon Shift)

Job Title: Server
Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests. The Server takes food and beverage orders, accurately enters orders into the POS system, delivers food and beverages, processes payments, and ensures guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests promptly and provide welcoming, attentive service.
Explain menu items, daily specials, and beverage selections.
Accurately take food and beverage orders.
Enter orders correctly into the POS system.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
Check on guests throughout their meal and respond to requests.
Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and maintained.
Process guest checks and payments accurately.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management staff.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when necessary.
Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties.
Follow responsible alcohol service requirements when serving alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant or hotel serving experience preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment:
Servers work in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment and interact directly with guests. The position requires standing for extended periods, carrying food and beverages, and maintaining a professional and positive attitude throughout each shift.
