Facilities Maintenance (Handyman) - Full Time

Facilities Technician

As a facilities technician, complete work order service requests in support of the branch maintenance department. Perform preventive maintenance, and oversee service contractors, deliver routine maintenance (housekeeping, grounds maintenance, gate maintenance, etc.). Must possess broad skills in various building trades (I.E. plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc.) and broad mechanical aptitude. Duties include building and equipment repair and installation, and project work.
Electrical repair; lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability. (pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability. (basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance procedures. (Basic mechanical repair on forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required. (Basic building repair but not limited to painting, wall repair, floor repair (10%)
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (Required).
High mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working with hand tools a plus.
Experience that demonstrates skill in various building trades listed above.
Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, and vendors.
Must be able to remain flexible with work schedule to accommodate changing facility needs.

This role operates large equipment and needs to constantly position self to maintain the operation of equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts. The job may risk exposure to dust, heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions.
