Dental Health Hygienist

Responsibilities Conduct patient screening procedures including assessing oral health conditions reviewing patient health history performing oral cancer screenings head and neck inspections dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse
Take digital radiographs
Follow practice protocols for quality assurance biohazards infection control referrals emergency medicine implants perio program and emergency treatment
Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and use of cavitronprophy jet
Apply preventive materials to teeth eg sealants and fluorides and make impressions of patients teeth for study casts
Promote good dental and general health by educating patients on oral hygiene techniques flossing and brushing providing oral hygiene instructions nutritional counseling and dispensing oral hygiene aids
Maintain a sterile and organized working environment following infection control procedures
Familiarize patients with their dental visit provide support and compassion
Chart dentition evaluate hard and soft tissue document existing restorations decay perio charting and treatments
Candidate Requirements Active GA RDH License
CPR and First Aid certification
