Painter and Decorator - Full Time

Summary/Objective

Restores the vehicle back to factory standards.

Essential Functions

Prepare vehicle by taping and marking off other areas.

Sand and buff vehicle.

Move vehicle into and out of body shop.

Mix paints to match vehicle color.

Maintain and clean paint guns.

Communicates with supplier to maintain material inventory.

Remove and reinstall parts as needed.

Effective communicator in listening, writing, and verbal.

Must be detail oriented.

Ability to solve problems.

Ability to work as a team.

Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities.

Punctual and dependable person.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct reports.

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.

Travel

This position does not have any travel requirements.

Required Education and Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
