Pelican Bay Aquatic Center is a state-of-the-art municipal leisure pool focused on improving the health and economic vitality of Edmond, OK. You will be joining a championship level team focused on fun, fulfillment and service built to enrich the community as well as your career and personal growth.
Pelican Bay Aquatic Center is a managed facility by PBAY SFM, LLC, a Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) company. SFC is the nation's leading resource for managing and developing sports, recreation, wellness, and events facilities. Our mission-focused company is highly entrepreneurial, team-oriented with a culture centered on collaboration, accountability, excellence, and service. The Lifeguard will be responsible for the safety of all guests in and near the pool area.
Enforcing all pool rules
Providing patron surveillance whenever a patron is swimming
Handling all injuries, accidents and emergency situations as they arise (contact Senior Lifeguard for any assistance)
Instruct various ages in swimming, water safety, and other aquatic programming
Attending in-service training as scheduled
Passing the CPR/AED for Lifeguards skills and written test
Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards or able to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hire
Must be at least 16 years of age or older
The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution
