Performs echocardiography studies, TEES, Stress ECHOs. Recognizes, calculates, interprets, and analyzes the hemodynamic data served from echocardiography studies.
Patient Care: Ensures patient safety and comfort while in the radiology department.

Utilizes data received from patient satisfaction and practice performance results to identify opportunities to improve and participates in the planning and improvement process.
Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions.
Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
Technical Competency: Follows routine standards and properly and safely manipulates equipment, within its limitations, to obtain images.

Maintains sterile equipment and fields.
Performs any necessary warm-up and quality control procedures on the equipment.
Uses protocols to obtain images of internal structures.
Critiques images for quality and makes necessary judgments to determine if repeat is necessary.
Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography school or the equivalent in experience.
Experience: 2 years of Echocardiography experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonograph (ARDMS) required or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required : New graduates of a two-year program must be registered within 12 months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)' requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.

May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention: Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed: The base compensation range for this role is $35.69 - $54.63 hourly.
Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
