Job Description Wound / Treatment Nurse (RN or LPN)

Full-Time | Part-Time | Day Shift
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wound / Treatment Nurse (RN or LPN) to coordinate and provide wound care and prescribed treatments for residents. This role is critical to skin integrity, healing outcomes, regulatory compliance, and overall quality of care.
This position is ideal for a nurse who is organized, clinically strong, and passionate about wound management and treatment accuracy.

Coordinate and administer physician-ordered wound care and treatments

• Perform skin assessments on all new admissions and ongoing residents
• Monitor, photograph, and document wound progress and interventions
• Communicate changes in wound condition to physicians, nursing leadership, and families as appropriate
• Participate in care planning, MDS support, and interdisciplinary collaboration related to wound care
• Order wound care supplies and maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Participate in quality assurance, survey readiness, and audits related to skin integrity
• Provide education and guidance to nursing staff on wound care practices
• Ensure treatment areas are clean, safe, and compliant with infection control standards

Current, active RN or LPN license in the state

• Wound care or treatment nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet regulatory timelines
• Standing and walking throughout the facility
• Bending, lifting, and assisting residents with positioning and treatments
• Exposure to clinical environments, bodily fluids, and wound care supplies
