Maintains stock levels and product quality by monitoring dates, appearance, and storage temperature controls.**Adheres to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating coffee and related goods.* Prepares, brews, and serves hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, and teas, by following recipes and preparation techniques.* Provides friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions and taking orders by phone and in person.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.* Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens, etc.* Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.* Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.* Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.* Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.**Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.* Food Handler certification required.* Completion of Starbucks Barista Basics Training Program required.* Typically involves on-the-job training.**Brookshire Grocery Company strives to provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment for its partners and customers.
