Certified Medication Aide - DeLand, FloridaBlue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for providing direct care to our residents while ensuring the safe administration of medication. Your knowledge and expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being of our residents.Responsibilities:Administer medication to residents according to prescribed orders and established policies and proceduresDocument medications administered and any observed reactions or changes in resident conditionMonitor residents for any possible adverse reactions to medication and report findings to the nurseAssist residents with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and bathingFoster a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting their dignity and independenceCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plansContribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized medication room and stock supplies as neededRequirements:Valid certification as a Medication AideHigh School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a similar role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living facilityExcellent knowledge of medication administration procedures and guidelinesStrong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectivelyCompassionate and patient-centered approach to resident careExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBasic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems (EMR)Current CPR and First Aid certification
