Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift

Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,480–$7,670

Locum Tenens General Surgeon Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in general surgery

Physician licensure eligible for practice in Mississippi

Board certification or board certification eligibility in General Surgery

Demonstrated proficiency in adult general surgery and trauma care

General Surgeon Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat adult surgical patients in an on-site hospital setting

Provide locum tenens coverage for approximately five patient encounters per shift

Perform general surgical and trauma evaluations and procedures

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and the broader care team

Document assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care accurately

Deliver timely, compassionate, and evidence-based surgical care throughout the coverage period
