Automotive Service Writer and Tech

Job Description Our client in the Automotive Services Industry is seeking a Service Writer to join their team. As a Service Writer, you will be part of the Customer Service Department supporting the Service Department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Service Writer

Shift: Rotating weeks, 6:30am-3:30pm one week and 7:30am-4:30pm the next week.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the vehicle repair and maintenance process.

Accurately document customer concerns, prepare repair orders and estimates, and coordinate service activities.

Communicate clearly with customers regarding service recommendations, timelines, and costs.

Work closely with technicians and parts personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs.

Review completed repairs with customers and process payments using various methods.

Strong knowledge of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.

Proficiency with computers and ability to learn industry-specific service management software.
