Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry.
The unit is a cardiac telemetry unit with 54 beds.
The patient population includes those with heart failure, heart attacks, strokes, and cardiac arrhythmias.
Patients are primarily monitored through telemetry.
Staffing ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:7, depending on call-ins.
The unit actively takes steps to onboard new travelers weekly to help manage workloads.
There are no call requirements for this position.
Weekend requirements consist of working every other weekend.
Holidays: must work 2 out of 3 holidays.
Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but management will attempt to accommodate requests.
Daily census averages around 40 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, among others.
Special procedures performed may include management of cardiac drips and care for post-cardiac procedures.
The charting system utilized is Cerner.
Travelers must live a minimum of 50 miles away from the facility.
