Dental Hygienist Positions Available
Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, including dental care. Our dental services provide a full array of preventative and restorative dental services for patients three years of age and over.
ICCHC is currently seeking multiple full time Dental Hygienists for its New Iberia, St. This position works under the supervision of Staff Dentists and the Dental Director. Responsible for the care of patients by performing general dental hygiene procedures. Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take and develop dental x-rays
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions
Document patient care and treatment plans in electronic medical coding systems
Valid dental hygiene Louisiana license
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Proficiency in using electronic medical coding systems
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
