Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications and design analysis deliverables Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members Other potential duties: Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design 4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) required

Certifications Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required) Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)
