Shive-Hattery has an immediate opening in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area with our Industrial Team for a licensed Civil Engineer with over five years of professional experience. With the support of the Group Leader and other civil engineers located in the Midwest this position performs a variety of duties associated with design primarily on food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and industrial development projects and related services, to assist in achieving desired client satisfaction, and business results.
This position's initial focus is to support current project work over the design and construction phases as the primary local point of contact for our client. Participation in applicable ASCE, NCEES, and/or community activities is preferred.

Prepare AutoCAD drawings, reports and technical specifications
Design roadways, trails, parking lots, site grading, drainage and storm sewer design, sanitary sewer design, water main design, project phasing, traffic control and other site design components
Perform onsite construction administration and construction observation services including reporting and monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents
Delegate to less experienced engineers and CAD technicians
Perform civil engineering design for site and land development projects, as well as design for a wide variety of public and private projects in the industrial, healthcare, education, commercial and government market sectors

Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program
Experience: 5+ years of civil engineering
Pass drug and background screenings required for work at most client sites.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation 3D
