The Counseling Service YMCA is seeking a Youth Counselor who will be responsible for managing client behaviors, providing care to a designated caseload, including the provision of direct individual, group, and family sessions, coordination of specialized program services, and case management of the caseload. **Management of client behaviors and facilitation of sessions, including, but not limited to, outreach/engagement activities, group, individual, and family sessions, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals.* Conduct screenings and assessments to determine the appropriate level of care, treatment planning, and discharge planning.* Coordination of care and case management for designated caseload: completing ongoing reporting, outreach, referrals, and dialogue with professionals working with the caseload.* Participation in team meetings, individual/group supervision, community coalition meetings, and identified training opportunities.* Fiscal Management: attendance management, census administration, retention of cases, family support, fee collection, and outreach presentations.* Maintain superior Quality Assurance & Program Quality: contract and regulation compliance, fulfilling clinical standards and best practices, and timely and comprehensively complete all related documentation.* In the absence of on-site supervisors, will serve as a Manager on Duty (MOD) when requested/approved. When appropriate, serve as a Task Supervisor to interns/volunteers.* In the absence of colleagues, will serve as an alternate clinician for clients.* Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system, Treatment Court, and Child Welfare Systems.* Knowledge of mental health, CBT, and other evidence-based treatment modalities preferred.* Bilingual preferred.**Benefits:** The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including retirement benefits, medical benefits, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more! full-time or part-time), tenure, and/or the number of hours scheduled to work.
