Head of Programme Management

Autoneum

Autoneum is globally leading in acoustic and thermal management for light and commercial vehicles. The Company develops and produces multifunctional, lightweight and sustainable components and systems for interior floor, interior trim as well as engine bay and underbody. Customers include almost all automobile manufacturers in Europe, North & South America, Asia and Africa. The Program Manager II is responsible for leadership of the organization in regards to meeting customer expectations in terms of quality, cost and planning, as well as, managing Autoneum’s cash and profitability. They obtain and direct all the activities of the program team members including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, Sales, R&D, HR, Systems Engineering, etc., They serve as the interface between the customer design and release engineers and the Autoneum cross‑functional team.

Interfaces with customer and manages all customer activities and support

Organizes their projects and ensures adherence to APD tools and processes

Reviews staffing and organization plans related to cross functional support during project initiation phase

Reviews technical, cost and scheduling performance of the supporting organizations on a regular basis

Provides coaching, training and support to individuals and cross functional teams as it pertains to Program Management techniques and best practices

Assures timely preparation of program status reviews (financials, schedule, tooling, action registers, etc.)

Manages tooling and the associated WBS accounts, interfaces with purchasing and the Autoneum tooling group and ensures payment of customer tooling within established APD expectations

Sets up and manages Customer group Budgets for Prototypes, CapEx, Tooling, Launch

Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business administration, or economics

CAPM or PMP certification preferred

Technical training in product development preferred

Experience with High Complexity projects

Experience with Project Planning and related tools skills

Strong Team Building skills

Strong Customer Relationship skills

Strong Knowledge in Risk Management

Minimum of 3 - 8 years of relative experience in project management with direct customer interface

Able to manage and direct the activities of multiple projects, resources and priorities with minimal direct supervision

Competencies required for Program Managers are defined based on Low, Medium, or Global/High level of program complexity. Product knowledge / experience with car manufacturer or Tier one system integrator (in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing)

Engineering, Design, and Testing experience

Experience as a Program/Project Manager

Knowledge of all quality tools (FMEA, design of experiment, functional analysis, ...)

Implement and respect Program Management System

Manage Program progress through Program Management Tool, Launch Readiness Scorecard, Open Issues Lists, KPIs

Knowledge of financial analysis skills with good understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and cost drivers

Demonstrated vision to build the most relevant scenarios in terms of product design, industrial layout and commercial frames

Ensure that Change Management brings profitability improvement

Customer & Business Skills

Demonstrate ability to develop strong customer relationships with customer

Business / Negotiation experience with external customer and suppliers

Managerial & Personal Skills

Management by objectives

Matrix team management using management by objectives

Uses internal networks in order to obtain support for the program

Faces problems with structured approach, analyze the root causes of barriers, identifies solutions and influences decision makers

Computer Skills

MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, One Note, Outlook, PowerBI, Siemens Team Center, Internet, E-mail

Working knowledge of SAP

Travel required, by car or air, to visit customers and manufacturing locations. Some international travel could be required.
