Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN-Telemetry for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of telemetry experience.
Details

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
Required to work every other weekend
May float to the Emergency Department for boarder patients as needed
Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week
Requirements

Active MA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Epic charting experience preferred
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team protocols
Experience with chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care
Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration), heparin protocols, and IV insulin protocols
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and total joint replacement care
Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information

Must successfully pass a Pass/Fail Telemetry test during orientation with an 80% score, with only one attempt allowed
Must also pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam at orientation
Pre-start and orientation modules required, with additional annual modules
Major holiday coverage required, with the possibility of working two of three major holidays
Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
Candidates must have a 12-month separation from the health system if previously employed there
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
Candidates must reside within a 200-mile radius to be eligible for travel positions
