Registered Nurse Weekend Emergency Department Night Shift

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Schedule:

Shift: Nights 7P - 7:30A
Must be available to work various days of the week
Minimum every other weekend
Minimum 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays
Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Requirements:

BLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire
RN - Registered Nurse license (Single State or Multi-state Compact) required upon hire
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required within 180 days
TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course certification required within 18 months
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 180 days
Less than 1 year of experience with direct patient care preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients in the emergency department
Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
Perform emergency procedures as needed and respond to crises in a timely manner
Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records
Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans
Compliance / Notes:

A completed cover sheet is required for each submission
Must participate in orientation and comply with background check and drug screen policies
