Job Description Opportunity: Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: Inpatient gastroenterology hospitalist role with potential outpatient procedures Full-time coverage required with a minimum of 14 shifts per month Weekday coverage only, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no nights or weekends Approximately 5 patient encounters per shift GI Fellowship completion required Board certified providers only Active DEA required Required procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and cautery; esophageal dilatation and manometry; small bowel biopsy; lower GI endoscopy; sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid); and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision Diagnostic upper endoscopy required ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum availability of 2 weeks per month if two providers are identified to work a 2-on/2-off schedule Opportunity to perform outpatient procedures if desired; please indicate interest upon submission Strong-performing locums may be considered for a permanent position Facility: This is a well-established inpatient healthcare facility operating as part of a larger regional health system in Washington State.
