Server (Tipped)
We're seeking servers (tipped) for our dual property hotel, where you'll provide exceptional service across two distinctive environments. Elevate your career in hospitality with us! Our new hotel, the AC Hotel & Residence Inn Reston, conveniently located at the Reston Town Center Metrorail Station, opened in January 2025 with 267 rooms, including a rooftop bar and a full-service restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The hotel is equipped with over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, an indoor heated pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center to leave a lasting impression on our clients. You will work with our talented team to deliver exceptional events. As a server, you are responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and fulfilling guest requests.
Salary Range: $10 + tips per hour
Responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and fulfilling requests by guests.
Answer questions about food and drinks, including their ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items.
Take drink orders at guest greeting, deliver beverages, and offer appetizers.
Merchandise menu items, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Knowledge of hotel services.
Attend to guests' needs when delivering food and check back to ensure guest satisfaction.
Keep the immediate supervisor promptly and fully aware of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Maintain free coffee and tea throughout the shift.
Follow all food sanitation regulations, including but not limited to personal hygiene, food safety, and area cleanliness. Report any infractions to supervisor or manager immediately.
Follow cash-handling and/or check-control procedures, including but not limited to coupons or complimentary item service.
Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands, and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
Previous restaurant experience.
