Description
American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring compact or VA licensure and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Details

Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours)
General expectation of 2-3 weekends per month based on unit needs
Call requirements based on unit needs
Floating required, with travelers prioritized for floating in accordance with unit policies
Cerner/Oracle Health charting experience preferred but not required
Requirements

Active compact or VA RN license required in hand
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, neuro experience preferred
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Candidates with pending certifications will be considered
BSN not required
Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU patients
• Biweekly orientation held on Mondays
• 8-10 hours of orientation modules required, completed during orientation and annually
• Nicotine-free campus
• Scrubs not provided
• RTO must be approved prior to assignment start, with minimal RTO preferred in the first weeks
• Holiday coverage expected in rotation with staff
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former Centra employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
