We are seeking a Trauma Data Abstractor for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. As a Trauma Data Abstractor, you will be responsible for abstraction of data for injured patients. We are looking for dedicated professionals like you to be a part of our Data Abstraction team. Complete abstraction process for the assigned facility/facilities, including abstraction of cases into the required system (e.g Traumabase, Digital Innovations, TraumaOne, or Imagetrend)

Review medical records to abstract information according to the standards of various regulatory and accreditation agencies (e.g., Submit data timely through the appropriate reporting system.

Resolve errors resulting in the rejection of records from the data entry system.

Undergraduate (Associate or Bachelor) degree or successful completion of a certified coding program preferred

1 year in Health Information Management; Coding, Nursing, and/or Health Registry abstraction experience preferred.

RHIA, RHIT, CSS, LVN or RN preferred
