Field Procurement Buyer

Field Buyer, Tungsten Scrap
Location: Latrobe, PA, US, 15650 On-site or Remote: Remote
As a Tungsten Scrap Field Buyer, you are responsible for sourcing (hunting) sources, evaluating quality and purchasing hard and soft scrap materials such as hard for recycling or resale. You will assess material quality, negotiate prices with suppliers, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Scrap Buyers often work with recycling companies, manufacturers, and scrapyards to secure the best deals while maintaining profitability. Conduct research and collect data on the tungsten scrap market.
Your plan should include various sources, including individuals, businesses, scrap yards and industrial facilities.
You will work closely with the Program Manager to receive material pricing direction.
Negotiate material pricing with suppliers, including scrap yards, for hard and soft scrap.
Clear understanding of market conditions, market drivers and market influencers.
Facilitate material pickup for delivery to KMT Huntsville.
Experience: Deliver exceptional customer experiences, collaborative, responsible, able to make high quality decisions, and set priorities. Experience: 3 + years of business experience (Supplier Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Accounting) Proficiency: MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Software. SAP (preferred)
Ability to travel up to 75%
Skilled in all forms of communication including email, telephone, formal and informal presentation to support achieving results.
