TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in St. Travel RN – Medical Surgical / General Surgery (Nights)
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-surgical and medical comorbidity patients
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and remote telemetry monitors
Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
Current RN license; Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Experience with Oncology, Neuro Surgical Recovery, or Surgical patient populations (GI, GU, Plastics, Overflow Ortho)
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Work in a nationally recognized facility holding designations including a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center
