Buyer Full Time Supply Chain

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Analyzes post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinates for economy of purchases. Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action. Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system. Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.

Position Responsibilities Responsible for the overall inventory health across the global distribution network for stocked parts

Management of MRP capabilities related to inventory balancing and replenishment for stocked and non-stocked parts

Coordinate with program management and finance to ensure alignment between inventory plans and business/financial performance goals

Collaborate across the supply chain team and technical engineering communities to leverage insights for supportability and planning strategies

Partner with Customer Program Managers and utilize customer relationships to gather intelligence for demand planning

Identification & dispositioning of excess material; to include sourcing of excess materials from within Boeing’s overall supply network

Integrate with Program Management and Business Development on stocking strategies, both domestically and internationally

Key contributor to the Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process, responsible for Inventory Planning

Achievement of Supply Chain Planning Key Performance Indicators (Fill Rate, On Time Delivery & Stocked Zero Bin); Maintenance and reporting of performance for Tailored Part Packages/Service Level Agreements

Identification and management of critical parts, utilizing Management Control and Inventory Reserve capabilities to protect AOG & Hi Priority orders

Partner with Supplier Management, Finance and Program Management to develop sourcing strategies that utilize long term contracts and maximize material cost breaks (Time Phased Supply Planning, Min/Max, etc.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management

Bachelors in Business/Supply Chain Planning or Science Engineering

SAP experience

Supply Chain Demand & Supply Planning & Strategy

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Data Analytics/ BI and Reporting
