Responsibilities Provides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and byassessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.

instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow-up programs.

Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.

Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations.

Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.

Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.

Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speech therapy.

Ability to evaluate a patient’s speech therapy needs and communicate the patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient’s care.

Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.

Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.

Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs).

Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ speech and language deficits.

Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations in the area of speech and language to determine students need for services or need of dismissal from services.

Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for speech therapy services.

Provide speech therapy sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP.

Qualifications Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Current and active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, required. (CCC-SLP)

1-5 years of experience with young children and families, required.
