Dosimetrist - Radiation Therapy

Job Description $10,000 sign‑on bonus (new MGH hires)

Responsibilities Reviews patient history, physician's orders and radiation therapy treatment plan.

Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.

Determines patient treatment plan in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist.

Delivers therapy according to treatment plan.

Prepares equipment and supplies, including linear accelerator.

Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

Qualifications Maine State Radiologic Technologist license required.

Registered as a Radologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Radiation Therapy (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
