Companion Caregiver for Veterans

Cornerstone Caregiving is dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful, and dependable in-home care to veterans, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support each veteran's physical, emotional, and personal needs while following individualized care plans. Assist veterans with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.

Remind clients to take medications as directed (in accordance with agency policies and state regulations).

Assist with transfers, ambulation, and the safe use of mobility equipment.

Accompany veterans to medical appointments, errands, and community activities when required.

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client observations.

Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures at all times.

Build trusting relationships while treating every veteran with dignity, respect, and compassion.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous caregiving, home health, CNA, or personal care experience preferred.

Experience working with veterans, seniors, or individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
