We are seeking an experienced Welder to support our produce processing plant by fabricating, repairing, and maintaining equipment used in food production. This role focuses on TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel to ensure all plant equipment meets strict food safety and sanitation standards. Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel equipment, piping, and structural components.

Fabricate, modify, and repair food processing machinery, conveyor systems, and plant infrastructure.

Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with sanitary design standards for food safety.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete projects accurately.

Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs to reduce equipment downtime.

Maintain compliance with food safety regulations (USDA, FDA, HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Follow OSHA safety protocols and plant safety policies while working with welding equipment and machinery.

Assist in installing, upgrading, and modifying production equipment as needed.

Keep accurate records of completed work, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Collaborate with the maintenance, production, and engineering teams to support efficient plant operations.

High school diploma or GED required; welding certification or vocational training preferred.

Minimum 2-3 years of welding experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or sanitary welding environment.

Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding, with experience in stainless steel welding.

Ability to work with thin-gauge materials and perform precision welding to sanitary standards.

Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.

Familiarity with piping systems, conveyors, and industrial machinery maintenance.

Understanding food safety and sanitary welding requirements.

Certifications in AWS (American Welding Society) or related welding programs.

Knowledge of PLC systems, mechanical repairs, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

The role involves working in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and moving mechanical parts.

May require working overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins as needed.
