Position SummaryAurelia Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage and improve the quality of materials, components, and services provided by external suppliers. This role ensures that all sourced items meet Aurelias engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting the integrity of our supply chain and the delivery of high quality turbine products to customers and stakeholders.This role partners closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Operations to prevent defects, reduce risk, and strengthen supplier performance in support of Aurelias manufacturing operations.Supplier Quality ManagementConduct supplier audits, assessments, and on site evaluations to verify compliance with Aurelias quality standardsCoordinate supplier qualification, approval, and requalification processesDevelop and implement quality control plans, inspection criteria, and quality programs for supplier provided materialsMaintain supplier quality documentation, records, and compliance filesMonitor supplier performance and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)Issue Resolution & Corrective ActionsCollaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Perform root cause analysis for defective or nonconforming materialsSupport containment, disposition, and follow up activities for supplier related nonconformancesPartner with cross functional teams to implement preventive measures and reduce recurring issuesData Analysis & Continuous ImprovementAnalyze supplier quality data and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunitiesParticipate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiativesSupport lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization activitiesProvide technical guidance to suppliers on quality expectations, manufacturability, and engineering requirementsCross Functional CollaborationWork closely with Procurement to evaluate supplier capability, risk, and performancePartner with Engineering to ensure manufacturability and alignment with design intentSupport Production and Operations with incoming inspection, material verification, and supplier related troubleshootingAssist in developing and maintaining SOPs, inspection standards, and quality proceduresPosition RequirementsBachelors degree in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field3 to 7 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, or manufacturing qualityExperience qualifying suppliers in casting, machining, coating, welding, pipe fitting/joining, electrical systems, or advanced manufacturingStrong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)Proficiency in statistical analysis, quality tools, and problem solving methodologiesExperience conducting supplier audits and assessmentsAbility to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specificationsStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management softwareStrong organizational and time management skillsDaily in person, predictable attendancePreferred QualificationsExperience in turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or gas turbine manufacturingLean, Six Sigma, or quality certification (CQE, CQA, CSSGB, etc.)Experience with ERP systems and digital quality toolsExpertise in design engineering to support manufacturability reviews
