Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with CA licensure and prior travel assignment experience required for a 13-week contract.
Details

Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (6:30-15:00 or 10:30-19:00)
Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, and ENT procedures
Utilizes Epic charting system
Experience with Da Vinci Robotics and various surgical equipment preferred
Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience required, 5 years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Follows Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures and infection control standards
• Trained in emergency management including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia protocols
• Max RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
