Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to become part of our team of dedicated professionals! As a member of our Magnet-designated Nursing team, you will provide support to the inpatient nursing staff while helping ensure the comfort and safety of our patients and their family members.
42-bed inpatient unit specializing in the surgical care of patients with head and neck cancers, complex reconstructions, and thoracic procedures. Staff care for a diverse patient population with complex wounds, airways, and post-operative needs.
Work under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse and assist patients in a timely and efficient manner
Handle patient care situations with a high level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism
Collaborate with the clinical team and provide assistance with procedures as needed
Use basic computer and data entry skills to support clinical documentation
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare-related experience in one or more of the following roles:
Nursing Assistant (NA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Technician, Phlebotomist, or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

A Nursing Assistant or other healthcare-related certification obtained within the past 12 months, AND
At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in one of the roles listed above

Epic EMR experience preferred
Excited to work as part of a care-giving, patient-centered team, with the ability to build positive relationships and deliver patient-focused care
Adept at collaboration and partnership-building to achieve shared goals and objectives
A thoughtful decision-maker with demonstrated ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Monday through Friday, weekend and holiday rotation
