Job Description
ATS is currently seeking a highly experienced Machinist to support Science & Technology Code X located at NSWC-PCD Panama City, Florida working with watermill, lathes, etc. This will require a motivated individual that can produce products in a Rapid Prototype setting.

Job Requirements

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce high-precision components.
• Interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting speeds to achieve optimal results.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment to ensure tolerances are met.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to refine designs and processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with government regulations.
• 10+ years of experience as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CNC programming (Fanuc, Haas, or similar) and manual machining techniques.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection processes.
• A problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
