Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Ohio Start Date: October 20, 2026

Schedule: Every other weekend required. No on-call responsibilities.

Progressive Care Unit specializing in post-operative open heart care and advanced cardiac patients
Comprehensive patient care including chest tube and drain management, cardiac monitoring, and post-procedure care for radial and femoral access patients

Float to units within your skill level as needed

Requirements:
Active Ohio or Compact RN License (verified through Nursys)
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Current American Heart Association

ACLS

certification
Post-operative open heart care experience required
Critical Care experience highly preferred
Demonstrated experience with chest tube and drain management
Proficiency in pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
Expert-level cardiac monitoring skills, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and recognizing changes in cardiac rhythms
Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
Experience assisting with chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wire removal, and management of temporary pacing devices
Competency with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and oxygen delivery systems
Current skills checklist (within 1 year) pertinent to Progressive Care Unit
