This is a part-time day shift position, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation in the medical record.
Administer prescribed medications, monitor for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action if medication adverse reaction occurs.
Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving them.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding by translating complex terminology.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Associate Degree required at hire; BSN required within 24 months of hire into an RN position.
Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license.
Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital within the last three years.
Experience in orthopedics highly preferred.
Charge and/or supervisor experience preferred.
