Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospice | Night Shift

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, including every other weekend

Job Summary

Queen City Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality hospice care during night shifts . This role is responsible for delivering patient-centered care that promotes comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, independent, and passionate about end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act

Implement nursing care based on comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans

Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and plan of care

Coordinate hospice services with the interdisciplinary care team

Communicate patient condition changes and care needs effectively

Deliver pain and symptom management interventions

Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program

Active LPN/LVN license in the state of practice

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience

Current CPR certification

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hospice, home health, community health, or medical-surgical nursing

Knowledge of hospice philosophy and end-of-life care principles
