Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patients.

Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic problem list (plan of care) in collaboration with each patient/family/significant other to address all identified needs.

Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.

Evaluates the identified problems, care provided and patient's responses are reassessed to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.

Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.

Provides direct and indirect patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the physicians and/or nurse practitioners.

Measures vital signs, performs EKGs, venipuncture, capillary blood glucose testing. Interviews patients/clients and/or family members to obtain accurate health information and ensures information is documented in the patients/clients chart. Assists patients/clients or family members with completion of medical forms (as needed).

Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.

Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, interprets physicians'/nurse practitioners' instructions to patients, assists with emergency and minor surgery, and performs related tasks as directed and needed.

Health Requirements:

All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis (TB) as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Two years of college with equivalent work experience.

Current state registration to practice nursing

Current, unrestricted MO RN license required
