[Pipefitter] Pipefitters Needed ASAP

Blackeagle Energy Services is a construction industry leader and general contractor for municipal and private projects, based in Berthoud, CO. We manage every aspect of the fabrication, construction, and installation of infrastructure, as well as related mechanical and civil services and equipment.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus, subject to meeting program requirements.

The Pipefitter is responsible for planning, laying out, installing, testing, and repairing all types of piping systems in compliance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. This role may also perform tasks in other crafts, as appropriate to training and skills, at the direction of supervision.

Develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications and plan, lay-out, install and/or repair all types of piping systems in accordance with those plans and specifications.

Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.

Inspect work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain, and take any corrective action needed.

cut or drill holes to permit passage of pipes; install valves, couplings and other fittings; and lift, position and secure materials and work pieces during installation.

Utilize all pipe fitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, and fused joints.

Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Three years of welding experience preferred; must pass the prescribed welding test.

Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then be able to perform the task or project discussed.

Must have a working knowledge of various welding codes, specifications, techniques, and methods.

Must be familiar with properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage and welding techniques.

Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in all weather and temperature extremes.

Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Must be able to tolerate frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.

Must be able to wear and operate the required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves.
