Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide skilled therapy services designed to help residents improve function, increase independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

Document daily treatments, weekly progress notes, and resident outcomes accurately and timely

Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist

Assist nursing staff with training and implementation of restorative programs

Participate in interdisciplinary care planning, rehabilitation meetings, and discharge planning activities

Educate residents, families, and caregivers on maintenance programs and discharge recommendations

Assist with cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment and treatment areas

Report equipment concerns and assist in maintaining a safe therapy environment

Participate in staff education and in-service training programs

Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and payer requirements

Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and healthcare providers

Qualifications Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred

Licenses & Certifications Current South Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
