Targeting Instructor

With safety being the Company’s number one priority, the BTWI will provide critical feedback to management, who will determine whether drivers are ready to perform their jobs or need additional training. The BTWI will serve as a role model and mentor to new drivers. The BTWI’s primary goal is to develop new drivers to be safe, efficient and deliver customer zeal.

Acclimates new drivers to the physical and environmental demands of the job during Job Shadowing.

Significance of providing excellent customer service

After the new driver completes the virtual safety training, the BTWI is required to instruct and coach drivers through the following:

Vehicle Inspection

When BTWI is comfortable with the new employees’ abilities to execute the skill activities, the training will be continued on-route.

Models the Republic Way of operating a solid waste collection vehicle.

Provides daily feedback to management on the performance of the new employee.Completes needed paperwork to document the new employee’s progress.

Performs a driver’s primary responsibilities, based on CDL Class and line of business, when not training a new driver.

Furthermore, they do not establish a contract for employment and are subject to change at the discretion of the Company.
