University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake - Rehabilitation Therapies has an outstanding opportunity for an Occupational Therapist 2 .
Full-Time / 40 Hours Per Week
Day Shift
This individual will be responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy evaluation and intervention to patients referred by a licensed provider.

Direct COTAs, aides, students, and volunteers
Perform an appropriate evaluation on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided and reassessments as per protocol. Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation - make appropriate physician contact for intervention
Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
Have knowledge of occupational therapy interventions
Maintain records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department
Consult with other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities
Assist with orientation and in-service training, participates in guidance and educational programs
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program AND successful completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination AND 18 months of professional occupational therapy experience.
Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist or has a valid probational certificate issued by the state of Washington to practice occupational therapy.
