Job Description
RN Psych needed for 13 week full time (26 hours) assignment. We're seeking an experienced RN with a passion for mental health to provide compassionate care and support to our patients.
Shift: 3x12, rotating (D/E/N), Weekends/Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs
Job Duties:

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
• Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
• Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
• Assist clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
• Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Telemetry experience preferred
